Just want to share this cause I recently saw the ABDC 6 Season Finale performances and I just CANNOT believe that I was able to meet two of those AH-MAZING crews and even got to party with one of them. I got the privilege to meet America’s Best Dance Crew champions, POREOTICS and QUEST CREW. If you don’t know POREOTICS, they won America’s Best Dance Crew
for the 5th season and they already starred in music videos like Justin Bieber’s Somebody to Love and Bruno Mars’ The Lazy Song, not to mention got to tour around the world alongside Bieber.

I’ve recently just become a fan of POREOTICS especially when they came here as the opening act for Bieber’s concert. I really want to learn how to pop like Dumbo and the others. If you’ve read my past blog posts, you would know that I got to meet them at the Justin Bieber afterparty which was the sweetest double deal one could ever get. If you haven’t, you can go read about the awesomeness that transpired here.
POREOTICS
For Quest Crew, they were the ABDC champions for the 3rd season and just like POREOTICS, they’ve also starred in music videos and got to snag their own world tour on the sole account of their talent. And quite frankly, the strongest and most versatile crew I believe to have ever set foot on ABDC territory. Quest Crew because of their knack for visual appeal, athleticism and true entertainment has made them the most marketable and sought after crew in the US. And the fact that 3 of them (Hok, Ryan and DTrix) have already been through So You Think You Can Dance before ABDC earned them great respect from thousands of viewers.

I met them during their tour here in the Philippines in Resorts World. I liked them ever since their season on ABDC although my heart still lies with Beat Freaks (an all B-girl crew). When Quest Crew set foot on the Resorts World stage, I saw everything they did firsthand and I can still remember how my jaw dropped every time they pulled an incredibly hard move or stunt. That was the day I felt that Asians were going to rule the world, you’ll completely agree when you see the video. (see below)
QUEST CREW
Still can’t believe the people that rocked that ABDC stage were the same people that I just met within these months. I’m so grateful!!
And last but not the least, of course, I shouldn’t forget to congratulate the new ABDC Champion for Season 6 whom I rooted for from the start. I.AM.ME from Houston, Texas!
Very-well deserved, indeed. That piece honestly gave me goosebumps. They all had their own solos and I can’t do anything but give them mad props for pulling together such an original and clever routine, each symbolizing who he/she is as a dancer. Chachi as Fire, Di Moon as Machine, Phillip “Pacman” Chbeeb as Water… It was the sickest thing I’ve ever seen. I hope they’ll be the next crew to come here in the Philippines and that I can meet them. Hopefully, they’re here not just to have a tour but also to hold workshops for dancers here. It’s unbelievable how talented the dancers we have in this world!
Dance is the only art of which we ourselves are the stuff of which it is made. ~Ted Shawn, Time, 25 July 1955
