Hacienda Virata

This is a late post but to not post this would be a shame. ACOMM 8, particularly the Executive Board had a reunion at Hacienda Virata, Cavite last April! Yay yay yay

To say Hacienda Virata means to say that our good old Vice President for Doc&Pub, Xavier Virata owns the ranch and is actually an equestrian. Yes, an equestrian, the one who competes in horseback riding tournaments. You must imagine my excitement when I saw the horses all lined up at the barn.. I almost believed I was in the movie “Horse Whisperer”! I tried to contain my excitement the most graceful way I possibly could. Here are some pictures of me in attempt to do just that.

All set!

I told you I tried!  Hahaha!

Behind the scenes: Ansyl Yap at M.U. Live

Two nights ago, I accompanied my cousin Ansyl Yap Cadag, (a lot would know her as Ansyl Yap as it is her screenname) for a taping at ABS-CBN on their late music show called M.U. Live. If you probably don’t know her yet, she’s an artist under Bellhaus Entertainment, Inc. and has been doing gigs for Spotlight Productions.

I actually didn’t know what show we were taping until I got into a house with a sign that said, “Pinoy Dream Academy” and saw an inner room at the side with a set, has a stage complete with a drumset, some cameras and other music parapehernalia.  I knew at that point that I was in for some serious business and gave myself a pat on the back for wearing a a great but comfy outfit for the long night ahead. Here are some behind the scenes photos.  Continue reading “Behind the scenes: Ansyl Yap at M.U. Live”

No Bullshh

My cousins and I went out on a dinner date last Saturday. Back when we were kids, this was the kind of thing I always imagined us to be doing once we got older… hanging out together, sleeping over, going on roadtrips, etc. We swore to be unfazed once the possibility came up that we can actually do things on our own and not have to worry about parental control nipping on our tails. We can do all those things now anytime we want.

Do you see my shirt??? :> POREOTICS ❤ Learn how I met them here.  Continue reading “No Bullshh”

How to be hungry

And here in the Capitol they’re vomiting for the pleasure of filling their bellies again and again.. It’s what everyone does at a party. Expected. Part of the fun.

One of the most striking quotes from a book I’ve recently found an extraordinary pleasure to read from cover to cover. Frankly, the very first time I ever finished a book in one sitting. Very good book. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a must-read just as much for those who feel like throwing away life as do those who feel like throwing away food.
